Summer Fun in the Sky – But Plan Ahead to Come Back Alive!

, Summer Fun in the Sky – But Plan Ahead to Come Back Alive!

Stay safe in the skies this summer.

This summer make sure to enjoy yourself, and be especially careful when you are out flying. Safety always must come first, and that statement is no truer when it comes to flying your aircraft.

Be Safe in the Sky

You fly because you love it, and whether it is purely for recreation or business, it can be economical and fun to do. But always be aware of the dangers involved and make sure you are fully confident behind the stick of your aircraft.

Above all else, never take chances with the weather. If you are only VFR certified, don’t overstep your boundaries and try to fly by instruments alone. And if you do have IFR certification, don’t think you are a superman or woman and attempt to fly through nasty weather. The risks are not worth the rewards here.

Always be in Control

Control starts on the ground, which means you must always do a complete inspection before you fly, and never overload your aircraft. File a flight plan so that others will know where you are going, and never get cocky in the air by doing risky maneuvers. And remember, descent and landing are where most plane accidents occur. Be especially vigil during your landing approach, watch out for crosswinds and get your bird on the ground safely.

Hey, summer fun in the sky means enjoying every moment you are in the air, but always plan ahead to come back alive.
