Major car manufacturer uses CartCaddy Tug to maneuver door panels into robotic jig fixture

A tier 1 robotics integrator for a major car manufacture was given the task of designing a robotic work cell to fabricate car doors. The jig assembly holding the door weighed close to 5000 lbs and needed to be pushed into the robotic work cell. They chose a CartCaddy tug to help them eliminate a possible injury from manually pushing them into position. One operator now can easily and safely change out a finished car door.

The compact, ergonomic design allows the CartCaddy5WP tug to maneuver in tight areas, such as hallways and aisles, as well as open spaces. The powerful tug has a 36-volt motor can maneuver loads from 2,500 lbs. up to 30,000 lbs.
