The bottom line advantage of improving worker safety was a recurrent theme this past week as businesses celebrated North American Occupational Safety and Health Week. وخلاصة ميزة تحسين سلامة العمال وكان هذا موضوع متكرر في الاسبوع الماضي كما احتفلت الاعمال التجارية فى امريكا الشمالية السلامة والصحة المهنيه في الاسبوع. The annual cost to American businesses of workplace injuries and illnesses is $171 billion. التكلفه السنويه للشركات الامريكية الى مكان العمل والاصابات والامراض المهنيه هو 171 مليار دولار. Safety improvement need not come at the expense of efficiency and productivity was the oft-promoted lesson. لتحسين السلامة على ضرورة الا يكون ذلك على حساب الكفاءه والانتاجية التي غالبا ما كانت شجعت الدرس.

“When it comes to improved productivity, safety is an overlooked area,” said Michael Davis of Sedlak Management Consultants. "عندما يتعلق الامر الى تحسين الانتاجية ، هو التغاضي عن سلامة المنطقة" ، قال مايكل ديفيس sedlak من الخبراء الاستشاريين فى مجال الادارة. “A lot of times, you don’t realize how much a workmen’s compensation claim costs or the hit you take to morale and productivity if someone gets hurt on the job.” Davis suggested four easy fixes for creating a safer, more productive work environment in warehouses and distribution centers: "الكثير من الاوقات ، كنت لا ندرك مدى بعيد العمال المطالبة بالتعويض او تكاليف تصل الى ما تتخذونه من الروح المعنوية والانتاجية اذا كان هناك من يحصل على عمل يضر". ديفيس واقترح اربعة من السهل ايجاد الحلول لاكثر امنا ، واكثر انتاجيه بيئة العمل في مخازن ومراكز توزيع :

• Create designated walkways for pedestrians and equipment. انشاء الممرات المخصصه للمشاة والمعدات. This is particularly important when forklifts or other equipment must share the same floor space with pedestrians. ولهذا أهمية خاصة عندما الرافعات الشوكيه وغيرها من المعدات يجب ان تشترك فى نفس المساحه مع المارة. A low-cost solution can be as simple as outlining walkways in yellow paint and installing guardrails to protect pedestrians from equipment traffic. حلا منخفض التكلفه ويمكن ببساطة ان توجز في الممرات وتركيب الطلاء الاصفر guardrails لحمايه المشاة من المرور المعدات.
• Install an alert system to warn pickers of coming traffic. تركيب نظام انذار لتحذير القاطفون من حركة المرور القادمة. Mirrors can also be installed to help workers track the activity of others, particularly when picking areas are crowded or are shared by both pedestrian and vehicle traffic. مرايا يمكن ايضا تركيب لمساعدة العمال على تتبع نشاط الآخرين ، وخاصة عندما قبض على المناطق المزدحمه او مشتركة من جانب كل من عبور السيارات والمشاة. Davis says an alert system can be installed for $1,500 to $4,500, a fraction of the cost of a workmen’s compensation claim. ويقول ديفيس نظام انذار يمكن تثبيتها على ل1500 دولار 4500 دولار ، جزء من تكلفة اي تعويض العمال المطالبة.
• Safety gates that protect mezzanines are required by OSHA. البوابات التي تحمي سلامة mezzanines مطلوب من قبل منظمة الامان والصحة. Davis suggests, “the installation of a light curtain around automated equipment. وتقترح ديفيس ، "اقامة ضوء الستار حول معدات التشغيل الآلي. That’s  a system of photoelectric eyes that create a barrier around the equipment. ان للنظام كهروضوءي العيون التي تخلق حاجزا حول المعدات.
